James Paul Davis

Painting, Murals & Immersive Art

As a visual artist, James inspires us to look beyond the mundane and imagine a new world where humanity lives immersed in nature. From his murals to his portraits, he challenges the subjectivity of animals and flora, challenging us to see them alive, sensing, and complete — much like their viewers

Live Folk Music

A guitarist and singer, Davis blends the genres of folk, rock, blues, and gospel to tell stories of perseverance and eternal love. From arts festivals to street concerts, he gets feet tapping and hips swinging as people come together to celebrate the meaning of it all

Immersive Nature Education

Davis is a renowned mushroom forager, landscape artist, and ecology instructor. From university lectures to nature walks to his classes in Greater Boston, he brings people together as citizen scientists — helping them learn how to take better care of our mental well-being, launch original projects in our neighborhoods, and achieve change through community organizing

Passion & Purpose

Growing up in a small Kansas town, James fell in love with the prairies and endless fields of the Great Plains. He moved to New York City to study economics, history, and environmental science to inspire fellow nature lovers to protect our precious planet

Traveling the world and living in China, Taiwan, Northern California, New Hampshire, and Boston, his music and art serves as a catalyze to bring us together across the boundaries of nation, identity, and species
